The Blood Sword seems like a terrible Weapon. It has the worst stats in the game, with no Attack, Accuracy, or Evasion Bonus, and a ridiculous 100% Magic Penalty. Its only benefit is that it drains a pathetically tiny amount of HP from its victim. A useless weapon that should be thrown away, right?
Wrong! The Blood Sword is the iconic weapon from Final Fantasy II, and for good reason. Yes, it is largely worthless against normal enemies, and even hurts you if used against Undead. But consider that each hit drains exactly 1/16th of the target's maximum HP. That isn't much for your average Monster, but for bosses with bloated HP totals, it's huge. By definition, this sword can kill anything in the game in 16 hits, and you get two of them. If you want to make your life a whole lot easier, keep these swords for your toughest fights. (Or don't, to preserve some challenge!)

Wager Drainer
The Drainer deals normal damage which is given to the wielder as healing. However, no single hit can ever do more damage than the wielder needs to heal to full HP, which will severely limit the power of the Drainer. It also has the opposite effect on undead creatures, healing them and damaging the wielder.
