The much-maligned Scholar is a very situational job. Its two main abilities simply tell you things you can already find in this guide, though Study is useful against Hein because he uses Barrier Shift to change his weakness. The thing about Scholars is that players tend to assume they're like mages and stick them in the back row. While their armor is pitiful, if Scholars are going to do anything offensive, they need to be on the front lines. Their books and tomes are surprisingly powerful, and all have an elemental affinity, making Scholars effective fighters against enemies with a weakness to one of the three basic elements.
