The Ice Shield is the Fire-resistant version of the Flame Shield. Give it to someone wearing the Flame Armor to maximize your elemental resistances.
The Ice Sword is a huge upgrade over every weapon you've seen so far, both in terms of Damage and Hit Rate. Though found first, the Ice Sword is significantly more powerful than the Flame Sword—it is a bit strange to be using it in the Ice Cave, but it's quite effective. It also makes an excellent weapon for your RedMAGE, potentially granting them a third attack before any other weapon. Just for good measure, you'll find a second Ice Sword in the Castle of Ordeal.

The Ice Armor is a strange piece, as it is more powerful than the Flame Armor but still not as powerful as the Black Garb, yet much heavier. For that reason, you may want to skip it entirely in favor of lighter armor. As heavy armor goes, though, you could do worse.
