Finding the FLOATER is tough enough; getting out of the Ice Cave with it alive is another story. Fortunately, the reward is well worth the effort. A seer in ElfLand tells you to use the FLOATER in the desert south of Crescent Lake, and doing so gains you the use of the AIRSHIP, which makes travel much faster and easier for the rest of the game.
