The Steel Armor is the most powerful body piece you can buy, sporting 10 more Absorb than the Iron Armor, and will serve you well until you find the elemental Armor in Gurgu Volcano or the Ice Cave. It is quite expensive, though, and if you're trying to conserve cash you can skip it altogether. Your FIGHTER's Absorb is high enough without it.

The Knight's Armor is a nice upgrade from the Golden Armor, and equivalent in defense to the Gold Cuirass. It has the same advantages and drawbacks of other heavy armor, just with more defense.
