The Surface Spell is what makes the Cleric arguably the best class in the game. Getting to level 15 of a dungeon or tower is tough enough, but getting back out is normally just as hard. Even using ladder Spells costs a lot of resources. The Surface Spell immediately takes you outside, letting you save all your recently collected loot and not have to worry about running out of Torches, Spells, or worst of all—Tools. If you're a Cleric who's aiming to explore a dungeon or tower, don't leave home without the Surface Spell.

Sequitu is one of the most useful Spells in the game, and it's a good idea to have at least one character capable of casting it. Being able to warp out of a dungeon will generally cut dungeon trips in half, making them much safer. This is particularly useful in the later dungeons such as the Dungeon of the Snake or Dungeon of Time where there are no gimmicks to quickly get around, and a lack of Healing and Curing Fountains.
