Life2 is an amazing Spell, and the main reason you'll want to save a few level 8 Spell slots. It will bring a dead warrior back to life at full HP, which is great if only because it saves you the Spell slots you would have needed to use to heal them manually. You may even want to let warriors die so you can save Cure4 Spell slots (since Life2 can't normally be used in combat). Whatever you do, don't miss this Spell if you have a White Wizard.

LIFE is one of only two ways in the game to restore a party member to active status from KO that doesn't involve traveling back to town, and the only way for a RedWiz to do so. It is an expensive Spell to cast, since the raised character has only 1 HP and must be healed up with CURE Spells or HEAL Potions, but it can be a life-saver deep in a dungeon. Don't miss it! Don't forget that LIFE doesn't work in combat.

Life returns a KO'd Character to life with a small fraction of their maximum HP. The exact formula is 1 / (16 − successes) as a fraction of maximum HP, up to 100% at 15 successes. Unfortunately, Life cannot be cast on multiple party members in combat, since the game will fail to target dead party members with the Spell.
Outside of combat, Life is slightly less potent, using the above formula but achieving one less "success" than the current level of the Spell when used on one target. When used on the entire party, the amount of hit points restored is halved for each target. Life is an extremely important Spell to have, and multiple Characters should know it.
Life can also be used as a KO Spell against Undead.

The Magic version of a Fenix Down, Life removes Wound and restores 1/8 max HP to the target. Since revived Characters are immediately vulnerable, this Spell is more reliable when used outside of battle and followed up immediately with Cure.
