Turning a monster into an Imp generally makes that monster weak and vulnerable, essentially taking it out of the battle. But be aware that some monsters are actually made more powerful by the Imp spell. Don't accidentally make things harder on yourself!

If a character is turned into an Imp, they will only be able to cast Imp, presumably to cure themselves of the status. Certain gear exists that lets characters take advantage of the transformation, though.
