You won't run into many Fire Lizards wandering around Mt. Gulg, but they do guard a number of Treasures. They have a decent two-hit Attack to go with high HP and moderate Defense, but their big trick is a moderate-damage Blaze attack. It's not a huge threat when there's only one of them, and by the time you run into groups of Fire Lizards in the Temple of Chaos Past, your party will likely be protected from Fire. They'll drain your resources in Mt. Gulg, but they aren't a threat to kill anyone.

IGUANAS combine strong physical offense and defense, but have no Special Attacks to worry about. Their only trick is a 5% critical hit chance (4% higher than usual). They can take quite a few hits from low-level Warriors before they will fall, so Spells will be helpful.

A throwback to FF1, Lizards have the Ability to turn a Character into an Imp with . They can do this on the first round, so have some Green Cherries handy.
