The most common encounter on the entry floor of the Marsh Cave is also one of the most annoying. Shadows don't hit very hard, but they cause Darkness on each hit, and have decent Evasion to boot. They tend to chip away at the party while they miss repeatedly, but a good shot of Dia1 will take most of them out. The Green Slimes are another encounter to watch for, as they are Poisonous and normal attacks are mostly useless against them, dealing 1 damage except on a critical hit. A shot of Fire2 will take out the whole group, but it feels like a huge waste—it might be prudent to run. Zombies and Skeletons are no threat at this point, but the Monsters that appear with them can be. Ghouls are less threatening versions of the Ghasts found outside, but in numbers their Paralysis can be annoying. Crawlers really take the cake, though, with 8 attacks that can all Paralyze. If a Crawler attacks you, Paralysis is nearly guaranteed. Ignore the Skeletons and go all out on these guys, especially if two appear. Gray Oozes look like Green Slimes, but don't have the same Defense. They hit very hard, so take them out quickly. Both Tarantulas and Werewolves are Poisonous, and the Tarantulas are fairly tough so focus multiple attacks on them.
