Wall builds on the Reflect Spell of FFIII, but makes it much more generally useful, and sets the path of the Spell for the rest of the series. Wall wears off over time, but until it does it will Reflect any targeted Spell. A Spell can only be reflected once, so you can circumvent an enemy's Wall by casting it on your own party members and hitting them with attack Spells. The target is random, however, so this is an unreliable method at times.
