GARGOYLES first appear in the Marsh Cave, where they are incredibly dangerous to lightly-armored Warriors. They have 4 attacks which each deal moderate damage. SLOW is a must to protect your mages.

Magic Beast
Gargoyles first appear in the Marsh Cave, and later in larger groups in the Terra Cavern. They even make a cameo appearance as Treasure guardians in the Temple of Chaos. Defensively they are nothing special, with low Defense and HP that you shouldn't have a problem taking out. However, their offense is quite potent, not because of the damage they deal per hit, but because they get 4 hits. At 12–24 damage per hit, your Warrior can easily shrug these off, but Gargoyles can rip apart lightly-armored characters in no time flat. Take these out quickly if you can, because one unlucky hit can spell doom for your healer.
