Mind Blast
Mindflayers are some of the deadliest and most frustrating enemies you'll face. They don't dish out much damage, but they alternate between two attacks that you will learn to hate. Mind Blast will paralyze your entire party, and while it's not very accurate, it's also non-elemental so it will be effective even against characters wearing a Ribbon (though by the time you have them, Mindflayers will tend to run from your party anyway). They get three attacks that deal only 1 damage, but have a chance of KOing a character instantly, and this attack is also non-elemental. (I guess eating your brain is strictly a physical attack.) They have very high Magic Defense, but are very susceptible to physical attacks—if you can stay alive and free enough to get them off.
