In the first part of this Area, there is nothing to the northwest, and a Kamikaze to the northeast. You can walk through the thin central wall to find a Shuriken. The path will lead quickly back to B3F.

There is a save point at the beginning of the second Area. A hidden path in the northeast corner leads to the Blood Sword, which is guarded by two Stalemen. Like the Blood Spear, the Blood Sword is inaccurate and lowers all base stats, but drains HP from (living) foes hit with it.

You'll find a Soft west of the save point, and you'll find Edge fighting Rubicant if you head north. He will join the party. Edge is a bit fragile, but grows into a strong offensive force by the end of the game. Before moving on, head through the wall to collect the Ether2 in the chest you can see in the western room.
