Earth Medusas have a truly ridiculous 10 attacks per round, though none of them deals enough damage to break through even a Wizard's Defense at this stage of the game. It is however fairly likely that any party member not wearing a Ribbon will be Paralyzed by this attack. Like normal Medusas, they also have a Petrifying Gaze attack, though most if not all of the party should resist Poison as well at this point. Hit them with the Mage's Staff and call it a day, because Earth Medusas aren't even worth your time.

Medusas, as you might expect, have a Gaze attack that turns characters to Stone. Fortunately it's not a very accurate attack, and their normal attacks aren't much to worry about either (though they are Poisonous). They are very easy to kill, whether by physical attacks or a tier-2 attack Spell. In mixed groups, it pays to take out all the Medusas quickly, just in case. They become much less of a threat once your Knight finds the Aegis Shield, as half of their Gaze attacks will bounce ineffectively off of him.

GrMEDUSAS have a truly ridiculous 10 attacks per round, though the threat is from Paralysis rather than damage. Any character not resistant to Fire is likely to be affected. On the upside, FIR2 or the Mage Staff will take out a group of GrMEDUSAS easily.
