There's nothing of interest here except the Antlion directly to the south. This nasty boss will counterattack your actions, so don't have Edward attack. Rydia can safely summon Chocb (and you can in fact do this for the entire fight, but it's not really necessary). Once the fight is over, you can walk out, have Rydia Warp out (if she's high enough level), or use the Exit Item found near the save point to leave.
