Food per Tile
0.38
Notes
Can fly over any terrain without using food, and land on grass; taxis only on grass and brick
Planes offer a lot of the advantages of Frigates, but they're harder to find and use. Instead of one Item, you'll need two—a Skull Key to Board the Plane, and a Skull Key to Launch it. Planes on the ground use a lot of Food and can't cover many types of terrain, but Planes in the air can go anywhere. Time is stopped in the air (so enemies won't move) and you don't use Food. The only restriction is that you must land on grass, though there is no penalty for trying to land elsewhere (except that it doesn't work).
There is one use for taxiing in a Plane: you can enter Time Doors while doing so. This allows you to take a Plane to other eras and visit other continents, a claim even Frigates can't make.
