Ethers restore 20–40 MP outside of battle, or 40–80 MP during battle. During the middle parts of the game, Ethers can help your spellcasters maintain enough MP to keep using spells during the longer dungeons. They are expensive at 2,500 gil each, but they can be vital to your survival. Whenever possible, use them during battle to maximize their effect. It pays to equip one to each of your spellcasters.
