Nightmares have moderate Defense but extremely high Evasion, and like to inflict Darkness on characters with their Snort ability to make them even harder to hit. If there was ever a time to cast Lamp, this would be it. However, at this point in the game, even their three attacks should pose no real threat, so Nightmares are more annoying than anything. They appear late in the game with Black Knights and then Doom Knights, both of which are higher priority targets.

Encountered In
MADPONIES are the first Monster you are likely to encounter that makes more than one attack per round. Multiple hit attacks tend to be much more dangerous to Warriors with lighter Armor, and the MADPONY's are no exception. It will take several hits or Spells to defeat one of these at the start of the game.
