Finding the Levistone is tough enough; getting out of the Ice Cavern with it alive is another story. Fortunately, the reward is well worth the effort. A seer in Elfheim tells you to use the Levistone in the desert south of Crescent Lake, and doing so gains you the use of the Airship, which makes travel much faster and easier for the rest of the game.
