Your goal here is to restore all four Dark Crystals before confronting the Cloud of Darkness in the central room. To that end, choose a corner and head toward it. The order doesn't matter, and you're going to have to do all of them eventually. Feel free to go crazy with the Elixirs you found in the Crystal Tower, since you won't be needing them later anyway.
