Once you're done with Hermes Station, your main Mission is to reach Atlas Station. To do so, you must override the lockdown by visiting Vulcan and Prometheus Stations first. You'll have access to the Hammerhead on an open-world area to find all three stations.
You have a secondary goal while on the Hammerhead: find the six Cerberus data packets. This can be problematic because four of them are guarded, and there's no way to save while on the Hammerhead. To add to that, you only ever get to enter this area three times. To minimize your frustration, I recommend gathering one or two guarded data packets on each trip. They can be found in the following areas:
• Follow the right wall from Hermes Station (guarded by two Cerberus Turrets)
• Follow the cavern leading up behind the waterfall on the way to Vulcan Station (guarded by two Cerberus Turrets)
• Below the rocky bridge near Vulcan Station (guarded by two YMIR Mechs)
• Outside Vulcan Station (unguarded)
• Head left from the Atlas Station entrance (guarded by two Cerberus Turrets)
• Just outside the Atlas Station entrance (unguarded)
Once you're inside the base, it's time to finish the Overlord assignments once and for all. Solve the puzzle to get the elevator to level 7, then get ready for a fight—a Geth Prime and a few minor Geth will emerge from the elevator.
Eventually Shepard will enter a VI-created area, alone. At first you'll fight only Geth Troopers, but eventually you must face a Geth Hunter and two Geth Rocket Troopers.
Finally, you'll take on the VI Core. Your goal is to destroy the VI Connections around it. If they get all the way to the outside, they'll start uploading data. Meanwhile, Geth Troopers will start appearing. Once all the connections are destroyed, you can fight the VI Core for a time. This repeats with more connections each time.
