Elemental Vulnerability
The first part of this battle is fairly easy. Cid has a lot of abilities, and switches attack modes often, but he isn't that tough. Once you get him down to about half HP, though, he will use Metamorphose and the battle grows a lot tougher. He will regularly use Seraphic Ray, a powerful attack that hits the whole party and Dispels all effects on all Characters (including Cid), making Synergists' and Saboteurs' jobs difficult. Your main goal is to stagger Cid and try to finish him off before it ends. He has a brutal combination attack, so keep everyone's HP up, and fight conservatively to win.
