Oerba has a strange setup, in that most of the village is contained in this single area, while the interiors of various buildings are considered separate areas. You'll find a bunch of Treasure here, a Waystone, and two pieces to repair Bhakti. You can't find these until you've found Bhakti, but when you do, look for the "Object of Interest" marker on your map for one in the village square. The other is trickier to find, as you'll have to the lone Vampire wandering amongst some exposed roots. This isn't marked on the map in any way, you just have to defeat the Vampire.
