The Dreadnought is the nastiest dungeon you've been to yet. Fortunately, the layout is such that multiple trips are pretty easy to handle. However, you can't Teleport, and walking back to town is no simple matter, so you may want to bring a Cottage or two along. They're expensive, but they can make your trip a whole lot less stressful.
Note that, once you free Princess Hilda, you can't leave until you've destroyed the Dreadnought. (You also can't destroy the Dreadnought until you've rescued the princess.) This is no easy task, since this means there's no way to restore your MP short of using Ethers. You may want to collect all of the Treasure first and use a Cottage before saving the princess.
