Getting into Prometheus Station is quite difficult. The "station" is a crashed Geth ship, and it has an array of defenses including a huge cannon that can take out the Hammerhead in one shot. It has a shield powered by generators that have their own shields. To destroy the shields (and the generators, if you want) you need to get the large turret to target you while you're near them, so it destroys the shields. Just make sure not to be in the blast area! Once you destroy the cannon, don't miss the node in the field nearby.

The inside of the base is initially abandoned. Collect the credits inside and make your way to the override switch. Once you hit it, you will (predictably) have to fight your way back out.
