Green Snakes are the first overworld Enemy you will encounter that can't be killed with a single sustained sword stroke, but their incredible 180 gold drop makes them well worth the effort. These are without a doubt the farming Enemy of choice in the early game.

Blue Snakes are a staple Enemy early in the game. They have 2 hit points, making them a prime candidate to practice your sustained sword blows on. As with all snakes, they're easiest to defeat if approached from the sides.

Red Snakes are the weakest Enemy in the game, although you will see them in Dungeons right up until the end. They drop so little gold that they're not even worth killing unless they're in the way.

White Snakes are the natural progression of Snakes, and the last ones you will meet. They aren't as dangerous as White Potato Bugs, but their ability to jump still makes them somewhat of a threat.
