The encounters in the vicinity of the Mysidian Tower, including the nearby mainland, are much nastier than those closer to the town. Ghosts are spellcasting Undead, and should be dealt with like others of their kind. Werewolves have a Poisonous attack and no weaknesses, but aren't particularly threatening. The Imps that sometimes accompany them, on the other hand, have nasty Confuse 16 spells that can cause big problems. Flying Rays have a nasty sixfold attack, but will appear only rarely, accompanied by Big Horns. Vampire Girls have a moderately-powered Charmability, but their five HP-draining attacks can be a bigger problem if you're lacking in evasion. You'll also see Bombs here, sometimes with a Hill Gigas in tow, and Black Flans sometimes bring along a Red Soul.
