The Caravan exists only to provide you with the BOTTLE. It doesn't appear on the World Map, but can be found by searching near the oasis in the desert west of Onrac. Once you use the BOTTLE, the Caravan disappears.

Due to a bug, you can land the AIRSHIP directly on top of the Caravan.

The Desert Caravan existed in the NES version only to provide the location of the Bottled Faerie, but now it sticks around as a boring Item Shop after you make your initial purchase. The caravan doesn't appear on the World Map, but can be found by searching the oasis in the desert west of Onlak.
