The Demon Axe is inexplicably underpowered, only marginally better than the Mythril Axe before it, yet costing the same amount as the powerful Demon Spear. Why does it exist? Who knows! If you're still using axes, you may as well upgrade, but maybe you should switch to another weapon during this part of the game instead.
