The Cursed Belt is worth a nice 180 G when sold, but if you use it, you become cursed. While cursed, you'll be thrown out of Tantegel Castle and won't be able to sell the Cursed Belt.

To lift the curse, talk to the old man in the small building in eastern Brecconary. Removing the curse costs nothing, but you'll lose the Cursed Belt in the process.
