Sea Monster

HP 64
Appears on Sea
Notes Travels on water
Sea Monsters are the basic sea Creature in Ultima II, and it is generally easy to avoid fighting them if you want to. They don't dish out too much damage and they go down pretty easy, especially if you are Firing a Frigate's cannons.

Sea Monsters in towns are a different story. They always have a lot of HP and, like any town monster, they deal tons of damage. Combined with their aggression, you should always avoid Sea Monsters unless you have a Frigate (which you often will when you see them).

Serpent

Experience 15
Appears Sea
Notes Uses damage spell
Serpents are nasty enemies that use a targeted "spell" as an alternate attack. They are worth a lot of experience, but since they live in the water they can be difficult to engage.
