You'll arrive on the Ragnarok with only Squall and Rinoa in the party. On the upside, Rinoa has an awesome new Limit Break to use.
To claim the Ragnarok as your own, you will have to defeat the eight Propagators on board. However, these fiends will respawn if you just kill them willy-nilly. The key is to kill them in colored pairs. Doing this while avoiding the other-colored Propagators is a bit tricky.
Your first targets should be the purple Propagators. You saw one early on in your exploration—that's your first victim. Go down the stairs and it will be right there. Go through the cargo doors and hang a quick left to avoid the red Propagator inside. The second purple Propagator is in the next hallway.
Go back and kill the red Propagator you passed next. From there, return to the hangar and go back upstairs, where another red Propagator has taken up residence.
Next up are the yellow Propagators. One is just outside the air room where you started. Head back to where you found the second purple Propagator and continue left. Enter the doorway beyond the green Propagator and you will be attacked by the second yellow Propagator. (You'll also find the hints telling you how to beat them in this room.)
The first green Propagator is in the previous room. The door through the front of the area leads back to the hangar. Go downstairs and enter the door on the right to find the final Propagator.
On disc 4, you will find various CC Group members on the Ragnarok, depending on whether you completed the CC Group side quest. Even if you haven't, you will be able to find CC Joker. You can win any rare Card you don't have from them, with the exception of PuPu (but including Cards you've lost, refined, or never earned previously). Each plays with rules from a different region.
