And here we have the good stuff. To your right is the Ragnarok, the most powerful sword in the game, guarded by the Guardian. To your left, the Elder Staff and the Sage and Ninja Jobs, guarded by Scylla. It doesn't get much better than this. Or does it? You may want to walk forward first.
Through the door you will find a small area of great interest. Both revive and HP/MP springs can be found here, as well as a level 8 magic Shop and a unique summon Shop. Note that you can only buy these summons if you've already earned them the hard way (this Shop is just for copies). There are also four chests with a pair of Elixirs and a pair of Shuriken. But that's not all! Use the hidden switch at the back of the room to open a hidden path to a third Shop, this one selling Shuriken and Crystal Armor. Once you're fully decked out, you may as well spend all of your extra cash on Shuriken, which are ridiculously powerful.
As for the bosses, once you've healed up and upgraded, I suggest taking on Scylla first, to earn the Ninja and Sage Jobs. Scylla has no special defenses, but she does have a lot of HP and a nasty Flare attack. You can make this fight pretty easy by putting up Reflect on everyone, replacing it each time it bounces a Flare Spell.
Guardian is similar, except that he will cast Quake, Cura, and Reflect. Summon magic or Meteor is useful to bypass Reflect, but otherwise you'll just need to keep your HP up.
