Heal Helmets cast HEAL when used as an item, but take up valuable Armor slots. A KNIGHT or NINJA can wear them (they provide 2 less Absorb than the Opal Helmet), but you'll no doubt be using all three Ribbons, which leaves five useful helms to be split among four characters. The Absorb can be sacrificed, but the Ribbons cannot. Depending on your party setup, it may be best to get rid of one of the Heal Helmets.

There are two Healing Helms in the game, and depending on how you play, they can serve as duplicate Healing Staves or a slightly trickier item choice. Casting Heal1 for free is a nice benefit, but if you intend to follow the NES game's Armor restrictions, you'll have to sacrifice either the Defense of the Diamond Helm or the resistances of a Ribbon to wear a Healing Helm. It's probably not worth wearing in lieu of a Ribbon, but if your Knight or Ninja is the one without a Ribbon, this is a good second choice.
