Pretty much everyone can use a Staff, but no one wants to. It is a viable Weapon for a starting Black Mage, but the Knife sacrifices only 1 Attack for a whopping 10 extra Accuracy. But maybe you like the idea of a Black Mage beating people with a Staff. Well, feel free! Who knows, that extra 1–2 damage might come in handy.
