The CatClaw is insanely expensive, and only useful as a Bl.Wiz Weapon. Even then, it is hardly worth 65,000 G since it won't suddenly make him a powerhouse in melee. Nonetheless, when you find yourself with more money than you know what to do with late in the game, the CatClaw is a nice upgrade. It provides enough Hit Rate to grant an entire extra attack and then some.

The Cat Claws may not seem to deal much more damage than the Ripper, but don't let the numbers fool you—this is a huge upgrade. If you have a knife user, this is their holy grail, though if you just want evasion the Main Gauche remains the way to go. The Cat Claws are especially powerful against Spellcasters for whatever reason, and there are a bunch of them in the final two dungeons. Unfortunately, as ultimate weapons go, the Cat Claws are the weakest of the bunch.
