Magic is basically useless against them, but you don't need it anyway. Of the enemies they appear with, only normal Sharks are a lower priority target, as most of their minions are just as dangerous but go down easier.

Sharks are the most dangerous enemies in the ocean, featuring a powerful attack, high HP, and high Evasion. If there's anything worth casting Bolt1 on while sailing, Sharks are it. They lack Defense, but because they are hard to hit it's tough to judge how many attacks will bring them down. Fortunately they never appear with too many Sahagins.

GrSHARKS look more dangerous than they are. They have a lot of HP, but not much Absorb to back it up. Physical attacks are very effective against them, but it will take a few to get the job done. Take out WzSAHAGS first since they are nearly as dangerous but go down more easily.
