LIT or ICE will usually take one out, and LIT2 can clear out a whole group along with their companions. DARK is also highly effective, as affected SAHAGS will have their Evade reduced to a much more reasonable 16%.

Sahagin Princes have the high Evasion of their lesser brethren (which should be less of a problem at this stage of the game), and a pretty good Attack score to boot. Luckily they aren't very tough, and Lightning-based Spells can soften them up and take out the Sahagin Chiefs they often appear with in one shot. They are a bit more of a threat in the large groups you will see in the Temple of Chaos Past's water floor, but not by much.
