Piscodemons are your standard hard-hitting but relatively weak attackers. Their Defense score is actually pretty high, but with only 84 HP they're not too hard to kill by the time you reach the Terra Cavern. But as Treasure guardians in the Marsh Cave, they can be downright nasty. They deal a lot of damage with each attack, and attack twice, making them a significant threat. Add to that their high Magic Defense and lack of weaknesses, and you have a tricky encounter. And one that you can't flee from, presumably due to their status as a boss in the Marsh Cave. They are Aquatic, so the Coral Sword can be useful against them.
